Shadow Hearts (シャドウハーツ, Shadōhātsu?) is a console role-playing game developed by Sacnoth and published by Midway in 2001. It is the first official game in the Shadow Hearts series. Shadow Hearts has gained a cult following in video gaming circles for its quirky use and misuse of historical facts and situations in a form of secret history.
Shadow Hearts takes place in turn-of-the-20th century Europe and Asia and follows a band of adventurers as they try to solve the mystery of a bizarre murder.
