GameSpy Hosting Matchmaking for Age of Empires Titles

Microsoft Game Studios and Ensemble Studios today announced that GameSpy is providing matchmaking services for Age of Empires, Age of Empires: Rise of Rome, Age of Empires II and Age of Empires II: The Conquerors.
Players can use GameSpy to access a wide range of features including player created ladders, game specific forums, friends lists and easy to download patches. Users can download the GameSpy Arcade software directly at GameSpy Arcade. Gamers can enjoy the core matchmaking services from GameSpy free of cost. Premium services are also available.
Once the software is downloaded, users will then need a valid e-mail address to register. Upon installation, GameSpy Arcade will scan the user's computer for supported games installed and automatically populate the "My Games" list.
The change will take place after June 19th and only affects legacy titles and does not affect Age of Mythology or Age of Empires III. More in Microsoft News Browse all News
